THE ALENA FAMILY PROJECT

A call for help...
Bill and Alena contacted us to address their backyard.  They felt it was tired and somewhat unusable in its current state.  Too many trees made the backyard dark and having a lawn was out of the question.  An old pool, tennis court and deck were showing their age and were so far apart that it all felt disconnected.  The goal was to create a backyard design that created new living space, uniting the existing elements and give them a backyard they could really enjoy.
"When we met with Glenn, we told him what we disliked about our backyard.  We expressed how we wanted it to change, not only in the way it looked, but also in the way it felt and functioned.  We knew what we wanted, yet, we had no real idea of how to get there."  -   Bill

The solution...
by: Landscape Architect
GLENN PORTO

I removed select mature trees, old concrete patios and walks to make room for a custom designed grand pavilion, massive fireplace, outdoor kitchen/serving bar and a new patio and pool deck.

This immersive outdoor space now serves as a dramatic focal point and hub for outdoor living.
I modified the existing deck to create a grand staircase that now connects and flows to the pavilion and swimming pool.

I integrated maintenance-free LED lighting to bring the backyard to life in the evening...a vacation resort in their own backyard.
"From his creative design through the construction and completion, Glenn and his team delivered on his promise. We now have the backyard resort we had only dreamed of."
